This was initiated by former Grand Hyatt manager Mr. Lim. niche caters to Malaysian food like stall Seremban Squid Bee Hoon (5 S$) And fan of lai, a type of rice noodle. Being from Seremban, he understands how homesickness affects Malaysians working here. What better way to treat this than with food?

A Taste of Home — Coffee Shop

Despite growth location, this specialty coffee shop was full of eateries. The crowd, which swarmed in the afternoon, was mostly made up of surrounding residents. This wasn’t surprising either, as comfort really is the winner when it comes to deciding what to eat.

I found the coffee shop a little on the less ventilated side. It will be a little hot so be sure Draft beer a place under the fans before you set off to place your order!

Taste Of Home — Cuttlefish bee hoon

I jumped in to order right away Seremban Cuttlefish Bee Hoon, I had heard that this was the specialty of the counter. Mr. Lim had learned to cook it from a veteran peddler.Clearly knows his craft and runs a popular cuttlefish bee hoon stop in Malaysia.

At first glance, The generous portion satisfied the gourmet in me. The plate of noodles soaked in a thin brown sauce also had 4 slices of cuttlefish and braised beef and topped with a few bok choy leaves. I really appreciated the full balanced meal for only S$5!

Mr. Lim advised me to buy a mixture. fun and noodles. This decision was wise as I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

This fun It absorbed the sauce well, providing a deeper flavor in every bite. chewable fun combined with quick bee hoon It created quite a textural contrast, which caused me to quickly devour the carbs I love.

I was expecting the sauce to be a little thicker and with a touch more flavorful. Rather, it was almost like a soup in Taste Of Home, almost like a lighter version of a dark frying liquid. Folks who prefer a less salty base will absolutely love this.

To top it off, the cuttlefish didn’t have any fishy odor or taste – a testament to its freshness. They were quickly swallowed with only 4 slices and their departure saddened me.

Braised Beef

Braised Beef

However, the braised beef accompaniment has to be my favorite item! These tender beef bites were packed with flavor and incredibly tender to bite into. As a skin fanatic, I was amazed at how the beef retains its thin strips of skin.

almond butter

Classic I had to buy a dessert and Taste Of Home’s Almond Beans (2 S$) easily cheated. In the first bite, my eyes were wide open with the strong almond flavor similar to the almond bean in Lao Ban Soybean.

It’s on the hard side as opposed to the softer ones I’m used to. On the other hand, the milkiness complemented the almond flavor. Despite my sweet-loving mentality, the lack of sweetness didn’t bother me as it allowed the almond flavor to shine through.
